Yoncé has a message for you.
“I may be a mother, and I may be a wife…but I’m no damn Stepford Wife!”
Last year, Bey had jaws dropping when she posed it up for GQ in her underwear, exactly a year after giving birth to Blue Ivy. Shortly afterward, she was slammed by critics who felt as though a mother and wife had no business on somebody’s magazine half naked.
The conversation continued this year, after Bey graced the stage of the Grammys in a revealing outfit, while bringing the intimacy most save for the bedroom, onto the stage in a performance with Jay Z. Again, she was slammed and her hubby was called a “poor excuse for a husband” for objectifying her.
If you take a quick trip over to her Tumblr, she has a response to everyone who has something to say –a big “Screw You.”
In the newest set of photos posted, she’s lounging at home in her satin robe, bra and panties set, with a full face of makeup, while her daughter Blue Ivy plays at her feet. The pictures scream, “Yes, I am a mother! Yes I am a wife! And yes, I can still be sexy. Motherhood and marriage can be sexy! Life doesn’t stop when you have a baby or when you say ‘I do!’”
That NY Post writer, and those online critics can try to tell Beyoncé to go and “Put some damn clothes on!,” but she ain’t here for it.
She’s keeping it sexy for her husband, and it’s nothing you can do about it.
