50 Cent must’ve been too busy gossiping and creating funny Instagram videos because the rapper was a no-show at his 16-year-old son’s graduation over the weekend.
After graduating from high school on Saturday, Marquise Jackson aired out his dad on Facebook for missing the ceremony.
“Yea I broke down , I was really excited to see my pops at my graduation today but he never showed up smh. My sister and mama is always there for me just know that you wasn’t. I did it without you!”. Continue reading...Damn, homie.
That was yesterday. Today is Monday and TMZ supposedly spoke with close friends of 50* who say the rapper didn’t ditch the ceremony at all. In fact, he’s said to be hurt by the whole turn of events. Per the report, 50 claims he was blocked out of the event because Marquise’s mom never informed him of when or where it was set to take place. Oddly enough though, the grad ceremony was held at Marquise’s private school in Atlanta, the same school 50 supposedly pays the bills for.
Tough one to call here. 50 and Shaniqua Tompkins, Marquise’s mother, have always seemed to have a tenuous relationship. There’s that one house fire back in 2008 that occurred under odd circumstances and her calling Curtis out in recent years for not seeing his son for very long periods of time. But to either hold out graduation info or to miss the ceremony completely only hurts one person ultimately: Marquise.
Proof positive being rich isn’t guaranteed to help one avoid baby momma drama.
