The second blast went off 30 minutes later,killing many more who rushed to the scene of the first bomb to rescue victims. An eyewitness who was shopping says
.. people are running, cars smashing into each other ,and bodies flying...and the whole roads are blocked as some abandoned their cars and ran..Police commissioner Chris Olakpe earlier said ,46 people were killed and 45 others injured .But the state government says they are not in a hurry to release casualty figures as they are still collating numbers from hospitals ... However, an official of NEMA,Mohammed Abdulsalam told AFP
"The exact figure of the dead bodies recovered as of now is 118 and more bodies may be in the debris of buildings which collapsed due to the intensity of the blasts"According to eyewitnesses, the number of casualties exceeds 200 as against an official figure because the market was densely populated..
