Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith facing child protection probe over daughter Willow's controversial bed photos

American actor Will Smith and his wife are being investigated by child protection staff over photos of their 13-year-old daughter on a bed with a man.

The two pictures show Willow Smith resting her head on the knee of actor Moises Arias, 20, who was shirtless. Controversy erupted after they appeared on Moises’ social network accounts, including Instagram, and were reposted by pals.

Sources said that the actor and wife Jada Pinkett Smith think the pictures are
“innocent fun”. But a probe has reportedly been launched by the Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services.
 

An insider said staff are taking the inquiry “very seriously”, adding: “Will and Jada have been extremely co-operative. They aren’t happy their parenting skills are under scrutiny, but they understand.”
It is thought the probe will take at least a month. Staff plan to speak to Moises as well as his pal Willow, an actor and pop star who had a UK hit with Whip My Hair.

When a photographer asked actress Jada, 42, about one of the images, she replied: “There was nothing sexual about that picture of that situation. You guys are projecting your trash on to it and acting like covert paedophiles.”

Moises, who appeared in Disney TV series Hannah Montana, is friends with all of Will’s kids. The photos have been taken down.
