Is that in reference to Rihanna? Drake showed off three new tattoos 'Everything happens for a reason'

Last month he was spotted hanging out with on-off flame Rihanna, 26, sparking speculation they might be giving their romance another shot.

But on Thursday evening Drake showed off a collection of new tattoos, with one in particular hinting their turbulent relationship might have hit a road block yet again.

The Hold On We’re Going Home hitmaker stepped out for dinner at Rivabella in Beverly Hills and debuted fresh ink on his right forearm that read: ‘Everything happens for a reason sweet thing.’

On his left arm, the 27-year-old sported the famous emoji symbol of two hands clasped together next to the number 6.Drake and Rihanna, pictured here in London in March, rekindled their romance at the start of the year before things faded out. They were again linked to each other last month but haven't been seen together recently
