Cristiano Ronaldo celebrate his 30th birthday party... just hours after Real Madrid's humiliating 4-0 defeat

Cristiano Ronaldo risked the wrath of Real Madrid fans by attending his belated 30th birthday party just hours after suffering a humiliating derby-day defeat to Atletico Madrid.
Around 150 revellers gathered at the exclusive 'In Zalacain' venue in the millionaires' row 'La Finca' district on the outskirts of Madrid to party the night away as supporters in the city drowned their sorrows after the 4-0 defeat at the hands of Diego Simeone's team.
The party had been planned for midweek but with preparations for Saturday's game in mind Ronaldo decided it would be better to celebrate after the game. That backfired when the team fell to what he described as an unacceptable defeat.

The handsome 39-year-old looked calm ahead of his big moment, which would see him grace the stage the prestigious ceremony to present an award to a lucky winner.

Barcelona star Neymar celebrated his 23rd birthday by receiving an extravagant cake and the theme of the cake... the man himself. 
Neymar posted the image of the his cake on his Instagram page for his 15.1million followers to see. 
Decorations on the cake included a mini-Neymar and a replica of the Brazilian's trademark hat, as well as plenty of delicious looking treats.

Ghana 0-0 Ivory Coast (8-9 pens): The Elephants clinch Africa Cup of Nations

Ivory Coast won their first Africa Cup of Nations since 1992 in dramatic fashion, beating Ghana 9-8 on penalties. Wilfried Bony smashed his spot-kick against the crossbar but the Elephants recovered in the shoot-out, eventually taking the title when goalkeeper Boubacar Barry saved from his opposite number Razak Braimah and then stepped up to score. It was an exciting end to a game that had been anything but, with Premier League stars Bony and Yaya Toure unable to create enough to win the game in 90, or even 120 minutes.

AT LEAST 27 DEAD: Tragedy strikes Egyptian football once again

At least 27 people, according to the morgue personnel, have died in clashes between ultra football fans and police in Cairo prior to a match between local teams Zamalek and ENPPI.
Another 30 people were injured in the violence that broke out when police prevented fans from entering the Air Defense Stadium in the east of the Egyptian capital.
The Egyptian Ministry of Interior released a statement to say that supporters of both teams had tried to force their way into the stadium, reportedly without tickets, which had been limited to 10,000. The police were consequently obliged to intervene to prevent these people "damaging public property".
