Gabrielle Union talks engagement on Arsenio Hall
Gabrielle Union visited Arsenio yesterday and had a “Flawless” ‘this rock, my ROCK’ moment when she showed off that huge sparkling pieceshe calls an engagement ring.
Since it’s Valentine’s Day week and love is in the air,  Arsenio wanted Gabby to spill some wedding tea so he pressed her on what her big day will be like. According to Gabby, this is her second time down the aisle, as well as D. Wade’s, so a prenup is a must have because she’s keeping her “stuff” on lock. They’re also kicking a lot of people to the curb and keeping their invitation list short. There aren’t even bridesmaids or groomsmen!
Peep a few highlights:
On her past relationships
I’m one of those ‘Baby, I’ll stick with you. I think you have potential and let’s be on this ride together. Except, my train kept going and they’ve hopped off. Everybody had the same six pack as Dwyane, looked fuller, maybe not as much hair, and I’m divorced so clearly I’ve made a ton of mistakes before this.

On why she insisted on a prenup
For this marriage, the biggest difference between this and the last marriage will be a prenup at my insistence. When you have your own stuff you don’t need to worry about anybody else’s stuff. So everyone should go into the relationship knowing, I’m here for you and you’re here for me. And the reality is, I’ve never seen Dwyane balance a check book. So I got to protect my stuff. It’s just the wave of the future. Protecting your stuff.

On her first wedding
Yeah, well the last time, I just wrote checks. I was working. I had a wedding planner. I showed up like, ‘Oh that’s nice, who picked that out?’ I [was] not apart of it, but the pastor who married me the first time, he didn’t even get my name right. He refused to come to the rehearsal dinner and then didn’t say my name correctly. So the  whole vows — we got married in New Orleans — [he said], ‘Do you GAE-brielle…’ And I was like, ‘I, GAE-brielle…’ I pronounced my own name incorrectly so that should have been a sign this isn’t gonna work.

On keeping the wedding small
No bridesmaids. No bridesmaids, no groomsmen.  Trying to wrangle a bunch of broads. Somebody wants one type of dress, somebody wants something else, you start to not like them after a couple months. So yeah. And we’re older.  This is the second time around.  It’s us and the kids.  We’re just riding out. Just us.

There’s a lot of people that think they’re coming.  And they’re not.[...][Dwyane's] the executioner. He’s like, ‘Let’s go through your list…absolutely not.’  I’m like, ‘Our cousin?’  And he’s like, ‘No.’ If you’re not about us, and we don’t both have a relationship with you, you’re not going to make it. So if we were [partying together] at Magic City in Atlanta, you’re probably not coming.
