March. 20 (Entertainment Magazine) — Pharrell Williams and Will.i.am have come to an agreement in their legal battle over using the phrase “I Am” and reached a settlement that requires they drop their lawsuits against each other.
The legal fight began when Will.i.am sent Williams a cease and desist order demanding that he change the name of his “I Am Other” YouTube channel.
Williams then sued the former Black Eyed Peas singer and asked a judge to protect hisability to use “I Am.”
Will.i.am shot back with a countersuit.
According to RadarOnline, Will.i.am accused Williams of “being a serial thief because of the plagiarism lawsuit Marvin Gaye‘s family brought” about “Blurred Lines,” a hit song that he was involved with.
The terms of the agreement have not been disclosed, but the lawsuits from both sides are over.
