5 Things to Do Before Sleeping

Want a better sleep experience? Here is a list of 5 things to do before sleeping.

Warm Milk
  Having trouble with falling asleep? Have a glass of warm milk, without sugar. This is no urban legend and recently research does prove warm milk aids with sleeping. You can do this at least an hour before hitting the bed.

Hot Shower

  Your body will be tired after all the work done during the day and probably, you are enduring aches and pains. Having a hot / warm shower can relax the muscles, ease away your aches and pains and put you to sleep.

Switch off the Lights

Lights will never let you sleep and even if you tend to sleep, it would be disturbed one. Besides, growth hormone secretes only during the night when it’s dark and by having the lights on, you don’t let it secrete. The brain knows it’s time, to sleep when it’s dark throughout.

Music

Use a music player to play mild music that will relax and calm your mind. The music chosen should not excessive highs and lows, but rather, should be pretty constant and relaxing. It can also be your favorite music. Ensure the volume is really low and just enough to put out other sounds that can disturb your sleep.

Relax

Last but not the least, relax. Even if you are not sleepy, don’t get up from the bed. Instead, snuggle and cover yourself with a comfortable duvet and close your eyes. Think of something pleasant, breathe deep and slow and keep praying. You will never know when you slept! When you get up in the morning, you’ll be brisk and all-charged for the day ahead.
