She
reportedly found out that her year-long relationship had come to an end
via the worst possible, rather public medium - Twitter.
But
Rita Ora has now addressed her split from Calvin Harris for the first
time, insisting she has 'moved on' from the Scottish DJ.
The
23-year-old singer took to the social networking site to make a series
of posts about her relationship woes, telling her 3.66million followers
that she had an 'incredible time' with the 30-year-old producer.
So over
it! Rita Ora has now addressed her split from Calvin Harris for the
first time, insisting she has 'moved on' from the Scottish DJ
Writing
on her Twitter page, she said: 'I don't usually address speculation but
I've had an incredible time w Calvin,& i will treasure the
memories.
'I've
moved on from this topic so i hope people will respect that and do the
same. Life can only be understood backwards but it must be lived
forwards.(sic)'
Rita was said to have been left rather red-faced after learning that her relationship with Calvin Harris was over via Twitter.
The
Scottish DJ took to the social networking site over the weekend to
announce the couple's year-long romance was over, but it's been claimed
the I Will Never Let You Down hitmaker was unaware her beau was going to
release the statement.
A
source told The Sun: 'Rita was left embarrassed when he tweeted that it
was all over. She didn't think he was going to make the announcement,
so she was shocked.'
After
being spotted out and about in Hollywood with a series of women over
the past few weeks, Calvin, 30, took to his Twitter page to address the
rumour mill.
He
wrote: 'To address speculation - myself and Rita ended our relationship
some time ago. She is a beautiful, talented woman & I wish her all
the best. (sic)'
Ouch! The Scottish DJ took to the social networking site over the weekend to announce the couple's year-long romance was over
The couple - who collaborated on number one smash hit I Will Never Let You Down - first split in January for a couple of weeks.
Rita,
23, had also been seen partying and cosying up to other men in
Instagram photographs and spent time been in Mexico with friends,
including R&B singer Khalil Amir Sharieff, who was arrested in Miami
with Justin Bieber earlier this year for drag racing.
The
source said: 'It was Calvin's decision to end the relationship. They
had been arguing for months and had grown apart. She was constantly
posting snaps of her with other groups of friends and her trip to Mexico
and photos of her with Khalil were the final straw.
