As an adult, my stomach forms tight knots and I get nauseated just before getting a shot, so I can imagine it’s 10 times worse for a baby.
Well, unless they go to this doctor.
A video is beginning to make it’s rounds again online of a pediatrician who successfully distracted
a baby while he gave him his shots with no fuss and no mess. In the
cute video, the doctor successfully distracts the baby with games before
pricking him with the needle. The first time worked perfectly, however,
the shot was a little more painful. Before the baby could even think
about crying, the doc was already distracting him with a storm of
tissues that left the little boy smiling and laughing and forgetting all about his shots!
