[Football] David Luiz lifted from World Cup heartbreak by letter from young Brazil fan

David Luiz has been lifted out of his World Cup depression by a fan letter from a young supporter.
Luiz left the pitch in Belo Horizonte in floods of tears after Brazil's humiliating 7-1 semi-final defeat to Germany on Tuesday night.
And the former Chelsea defender, who is usually active on social media, has been understandably quiet.
But Luiz took to Instagram to post a picture of a letter he received from a young Brazilian fan called Analuz.

Crying shame: David Luiz was in tears after the semi-final defeat to BrazilFan letter

English translation of the letter

Hi David Luiz,
My name is Analuz.
I saw all of the Brazil games in the World Cup and I liked it a lot watching you play.
I think that you don't need to be sad because you played well and did the best you could. You were a great captain.
Life is like this, sometimes people lose and sometimes people win but people only need to be happy.
David Luiz, you are my champion.
Analuz Penna Reale.
