Katy Perry shared an Instagram video of herself getting a nose piercing on Friday.
The 29-year-old pop diva's procedure likely occurred in Ohio since her last concert (Thursday) happened at the Cleveland's Quicken Loans Arena.
The 11-time Grammy nominee winces once she realises the needle has penetrated her left nostril: 'Oww!'
The unseen piercer then apologises: 'I know, I'm sorry! Don't say anything. You're making me hurt.'
Perry was left scarred at age 13 after piercing herself with a safety pin and an ice cube against her evangelist mother Mary's wishes.
Katy - born Katheryn Hudson - opened up about the rebellious childhood incident during a 2012 appearance on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno.
'I asked my mother permission so I could get my nose pierced. And of course she didn't give it to me, she said, "It was ridiculous" and she wasn't gonna do that. So she then went on an errand, so I took a safety pin and a piece of ice and I pierced my own nose,' the Birthday singer recalled.
'She saw it [later], she's like, "Oh it's not as bad as I thought." Because it was just a little diamond. But I still have this horrible scar that everybody brings up when they get really close.'
Perry also has six small tattoos - Jesus and a lotus flower on her wrists, 'Go with the flow' in Sanskrit on her arm, as well as a peppermint, strawberry, and cherry blossom on her ankles.
