In a court hearing yesterday, his mom Joyce burst into tears as the judge ruled that Breezy stay locked up without bail until April.
Via TMZ:
The judge said Chris had an “inability to stay out of trouble.” Hizzoner was especially concerned at a statement Chris made at the rehab joint, “I am good at using guns and knives.”So Chris will sit in jail until April 23. The judge wants Chris in the slammer until a D.C. jury decides if Chris committed criminal assault in an unrelated case. That trial is set for April 17 and should only last a few days. It’s unclear if the judge will let Chris back to attend the trial.
And we now know why Chris was thrown out of the rehab in the first place.
Apparently, the singer broke the facility’s rules, one of which was specifically created for him — stay at least two feet away from every woman in the facility. They say he got way too close to a woman, touching her hands and elbows.
Another rule he broke was refusing to take a drug test after coming back from an authorized outing last week. Though he later relented and took the test (which came back negative), refusing was a violation.
Last but not least, he broke another rule when he talked some mess about the rehab during a group session. Three strikes and he was out!
When he goes to trial for the D.C. assault case in April, if a jury finds him guilty, he may be behind bars for a mighty long time.
In other news, this week singer Ariana Grande was scheduled to release her duet, (ironically) titled, “Don’t Be Gone For Too Long” with Chris Brown. Yesterday, she tweeted:
my loves… so obviously some things have changed recently… so we have to delay the dbgtl countdown… some things are out of our control.@baysideharry my duet partner isn’t available at the moment to put the song out with menothing upsets me more than upsetting you… to make it up to u, I’ll be hopping on a live chat to play u some things I’ve been working on.
Chris Brown’s X album, scheduled for May 5, will more than likely be delayed as well.
