Diego Costa spoke to reporters in the mixed zone after the match against El Salvador, explaining his happiness at returning to action following his niggling hamstring injury. When asked whether he is off to Chelsea, he replied "maybe".
Injury fears
"I was a bit apprehensive because the type of injury I've had is deceptive; it's a pain in the neck, because you can be feeling fine and then you sprint and you feel a twinge. That's what happened in my last two appearances, but I felt good before the match, I played 70 minutes and I was able to sprint normally. I'm very happy to have had this run-out. It's been a very good week, I've been training and feeling better and better every day, but it was important to prove it in a game", Costa revealed.

"It was still playing on my mind and I was worried that something might go wrong, but I felt good and I got the monkey off my back on that score. People were waiting to see me play and I was looking forward to playing and putting in a good performance to dispel any doubts", he added.
His performance
"The gaffer asked me to do what I do at Atlético, because the rest of the team has the ability to provide me with service. El Salvador played with a very high line. I'm getting better all the time and gradually gelling more with the team in each training session".
