Marvel writers say Thor's Chris Hemsworth won't be replaced by a woman in film franchise

His role playing Marvel superhero Thor has recently seen Chris Hemsworth become Hollywood's fifth highest paid actor, and he won't be putting down the hammer any time soon.
Two of the studio's most successful screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely have said that the Australian hunk will be sticking around in the role that first made him famous - despite Thor now being played by a woman in the comic universe.
'He's safe. Chris won't be going anywhere for a quite a while,' Markus told the Daily Mail Australia.

But Chris Hemsworth is Thor in the cinema universe.'
Marvel made waves when they announced last week the God Of Thunder would now be a woman in the current comic book run, leading to speculation that Hemsworth could transition out of the role to make way for a female Thor.
