although she was dripping in Chanel for her latest photoshoot, Kristen
Stewart posed against the backdrop of an everyday grocery store in her
cover shoot for the September issue of Elle.
The
24-year-old - who chopped off her locks this week - was still sporting
her longer hairstyle in the series of images, in which photographer
Michael Thompson took inspiration from Karl Lagerfeld's famed
supermarket runway show earlier this year.
When talking about how she let her career evolve naturally, the laid-back star said: 'Never at any point have I sat down and
plotted how I should proceed from here on'
She continued: 'As soon as you start thinking
about your career as a trajectory—like, as if you’re going to miss out
on some wave or momentum—then you’re never doing anything for yourself
anyway. Then you’re truly, actually, specifically working for the
public. You’re turning yourself into a bag of chips.'
