Khloe
Kardashian may not have meant to offend her legions of Instagram
followers by posting a Halloween picture of herself and Scott Disick.
But that seemed to be what happened on Friday evening.
Khloe,
30, dressed in some sort of veiled kitty-cat costume, shared a snap of
Disick wearing a banded headscarf with the caption: 'Sheik P****.'
With
more than 14 million Instagram fans, such a post was bound to spread
widely in a short period of time, and the reactions were equally swift.
'Ur caption is very disrespectful to Muslims. Watch ur mouth!!' one angry follower posted.
Another social media user agreed: 'Disappointed .. lost respect.'
'Khloe Kardashian is actual trash,' posted a third.
Some fans, however, had a more positive response to the photo and its caption, with one commenter simply exclaiming, 'LOVE IT.'
At
least one person seeing the photo and words thought that a little
explanation would help: 'People are trying to report the caption as hate
speech, they dont get the play on words...some people are so closed
minded.'
The photo
itself came from a Halloween party in Ottawa, Canada attended by Khloe,
Scott, and a handful of other reality-TV stars.
As for Disick, he posted an Instagram photo of the 'sheik' costume as well.
'Happy halloween! We getting Arab money tonight,' read the caption that fewer fans seemed to react to negatively.
