Even though it's pretty darn cold and super windy, hundreds of people lined up to buy legal weed - Like Sean Azzariti, the first person to ever buy legal weed in the U.S.! Legal weed retailers have estimated something pretty amazing, over $1 million in statewide sales!
There are currently 24 shops open, mostly in Denver, and each one of them had a long line of chilly people standing outside. People started lining up outside the dispensaries at 2 a.m. on New Year's Day, but officials say the day went "pretty smoothly." The only issue? Stores are worried they will run out of weed!
