If the word "Rapture" is not in the Bible where did the concept come from?

I was visiting a friend and I asked her to explain the rapture to me. She called her preacher and asked him what scriptures in the Bible to use to explain the rapture to me. He told her there were none. She was quite upset. Why would a church teach something that is non-existant?.
Rapture” actually comes from the Greek ἁρπάζω (harpazo) which actually means “caught up” or “taken away” and it refers to one person only (Philip).

After that I looked in a Bible concordance for the word "rapture". I couldn't find it anywhere.

What gets raptured, the body, the soul, what? If it is only the soul, what happens to the body?
