Smith, 42, couldn't believe her luck when a dress she made from 24,000
loom bands reached the high bid of £170,000 after she posted it on eBay.
And
it seems that many more wannabe weavers are eager to follow suit and
make a quick buck from their rubber band creations, with the online
auction site being inundated with clothing and accessories made from the
bright bands.
Fashion fans have crafted everything from bikinis to belts and even high-heeled shoes from the rainbow-coloured elastic bands.
